I am thrilled that others of you love Flannery O'Conner as much as me. I was turned on to Flannery's writing in college and she instantly became one of mt favorites. To me she is a female modern day Edgar Allen Poe, with the slightest touch of a Williem Faulkner type thrown in. Don't get me wrong her writing style is about as far away from faulkner as you can get, but it is her southern flair that I make reference to. As with almost all southern writes of that period Willie Morris, Faulkner, O'Conner, Harper Lee etc. you cannot hide that southern language and style that others do not have. It is not coincidense that Poe is also a favorite, its boths ability to tell, tell of the macabre that fascinate me. Several of my favorites by Flannery are "Everything That Rises Must Converge", and "A Good Man is Hard To Find".
