Just finished "The Innocent" by Harlan Coben. Its the my first time reading him and it was pretty good. Now I'm about to start the LOTR series....:eek:

Picked it up yesterday. I have read several other books by Anthony Bourdain. If you haven't read anything by him give him a try. He has a natural wit about him I really enjoy and the pages come across like he was talking directly to you telling the story.

"Collapse: How societies fail or succeed " by Jared Diamond.

Same fellow who wrote "Guns, germs, and steel."

It's sort of lengthy. Looks at societies on Easter Island, the Maya, Greenland, southwestern U.S (Anasazi, etc) among others.

Just finished Something Wicked This Way Comes and The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury. Also recently read Alive, the story of the Uruguayan rugby team that crashed in the Andes and had to resort to cannabilism to survive.

Currently in the middle of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith.

I've just finished The Memory of Running by Ron McLarty. I picked it up in the library, knowing nothing about it, and it was a surprisingly enjoyable story.

The House of Intellect by Jacques Barzun
I've got a great old copy of that book on my shelf. I love that dude. The Culture They Deserve is probably my favorite collection of his.


Right now I'm reading The Missing Ring, sorta how I ended up over here, and it's kinda making my bood boil.
