I stumbled into Under an Outlaw Moon by Dietrich Kalteis. It is a novel based on a true story about Bennie and Stella Dickson who became bank robbers back in the day. They admired Bonnie and Clyde, and ran afoul of J Edgar Hoover. He declares them Public Enemy #1 and #2- wanted dead or alive. Stella was just 15 when they started, and she was just on a lark. They bit off more than they could chew. Fairly well written and interesting.

The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America by Erik Larson.

Parallel stories of the events surrounding the 1893 Chicago World's Fair and the activities of H.H. Holmes, the first modern serial killer.

I've heard that Hulu is developing the series.
Dang! I was looking forward to this.

The Devil in the White City has hit another block on its way to reaching screens.

PEOPLE has confirmed the decades-in-the-making series executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio will not stream on Hulu. ABC Signature also confirms it is now planning to shop the show around to other outlets.

The setback comes five months after previous star Keanu Reeves and director Todd Field stepped away from the series.

The Matrix star, 58, exited his role just two months after his casting was announced as architect and urban planner Daniel H. Burnham, a central figure in Erik Larson's 2003 critically acclaimed historical fiction novel.

Have been reading and very much enjoying the Wolf Hall trilogy since December. Am about 100 pages into the final volume, The Mirror and the Light. Incredibly vivid depiction of the corridors of power and intrigue during the reign of Henry VIII as seen through the eyes of Thomas Cromwell.

Six Frigates: The Epic History of the Founding of the US Navy by Ian W. Toll. Highly recommended to anyone interested in Naval history or early US history.
Wondering if anyone has visited the Constitution in Boston or for that matter, the HMS Victory?
