Ancillary Justice, Ancillary Sword and Ancillary Mercy by Ann Leckie.
Enjoyed the trilogy a great deal. If this is your genre I recommend them.
Split Second by Douglas E. Richards was also good. Reminded me of a short story (by Asimov?) that takes into account the expanding universe and where you would be if you went back in time but remained in the same location you started.(still got it wrong but its fiction, right?)
The Three Body Problem by Cixin Liu and the following book Dark Forrest. Have not read book three Deaths End.
I was reading about the author and decided to read his work once it became translated. So far so good. While it is a sciFi series, you can still glean a bit of information about how it may have been for the people of China after ww2.
