Season meat with salt, pepper and a few shakes of Worcestershire sauce, mix and form into 4 patties. Make dent in center so they don't turn into meatballs when cooking.
Slice onion and mushrooms while oil heats in skillet.
Saute onions and mushrooms till onion becomes translucent then remove from pan.
Fry burgers both sides to form a nice crust then remove from pan.
Make brown gravy and return burgers, onions and mushrooms to pan, lower heat and cook to desired doneness.
Open buns, brush with butter and toast lightly. I like Kaiser rolls.
Place burger on plate, spoon a little gravy on bottom bun, add burger, top with onions and mushrooms, more gravy and top of bun.
