Alabama's big third and fourth down play

One series where LSU was driving, around the 9 minute mark in the fourth quarter was at big as any. Third and 2 they go to Ware and Nico hits him in the backfield to stop his momentum. He gains half a yard.

Fourth down Ware go under center, with big Copeland leading the way, off right guard and Pettway breaks through and holds him right there. That was a big series for the tired defense. Yes we had the drive but you had series like this that set it up! Roll Tide!

You are right. that was huge. Lsu was down on our side of the field multiple times in the 2nd half that they didn't score. Whether it be from a missed FG, penalty, stop on downs etc. It sort of felt like last year's november meeting reversed. They score on any of those drives and we have a lot different feeling presently.

You're so right. A total team effort, starting with this defensive stop.

Absolutely. Without the defensive stops, they keep burning clock and maybe score again.
