No but it's possible that Oregon stays at #2 ahead of Bama. Compare the two losses. That may be enough for the SEC haters to keep Bama at bay for a bit.
The human voters will drop them down plus they were already weak in the computers. There's no way they remain at #2 ahead of Bama.

And the best thing possible is playing ND. What an epic game that would be!

Highly unlikely. Oregon's SOS was laughable to begin with.

At the rate our luck is going, Georgia's going to wear all-black uniforms to the SEC championship game.

I only hope they are that stupid to try and pull that again with us...

Re: And once again, we control our destiny! (thank you Baylor and Stanford)

I bet not many people can say that they were present at the game last week and this week to watch the #1 team in the nation fall. My husband and I made the trek from Waco to Tuscaloosa last week only to watch our beloved Tide fall to Baylor's old rival, the Aggies. On that long drive back to Texas last Sunday, I commented to my husband that it would be great if our Baylor Bears could help the Bama cause and beat KState this weekend, never thinking it might actually happen! You know, Baylor has gotten a lot of flack on this board (probably deservedly so) for their lack of defense, but they sure have helped the Bama cause these past two years beating OU last year too! Roll Tide and Sic 'em Bears!

I think you're absolutely right. Frankly, the college football world would love an Alabama/Notre Dame game. I know I'd love to win #15 against the hated Fighting Irish. Maybe I could finally get over the 1973 Sugar Bowl.
