Georgia's three opponents (and their rushing offense ranking) who fared best were Georgia Tech (4th), Nebraska (8th), and Alabama (20th)... I excluded Georgia State although they ranked 1st in the FCS because it's hard to compare. Collectively, these three teams were an average "rush offense" of 11th and they averaged 298 yards against the Bulldogs.
Now... I'm not saying UGA has a better rush defense than ND. However, I AM saying that if ND had to face the likes of the last four teams on UGA's schedule this year (plus FL), their rush defense stats wouldn't have looked so good. In the end, it might mean that if we had UGA's defensive front on the ropes by the 3rd quarter, it will be the 4th quarter before we get ND there.
The ones wearing crimson helments are better.
