Calloway hopes he's found a home at H-back-TideSports

It was a season of back and forth for University of Alabama freshman Brent Calloway, but as he looks ahead to 2013 he hopes to settle in and focus on one position.

Re: Latest Bama News 1/10/13

We've got ESPN's highlight package for you from Monday's BCS National Championship Game. It's 9 minutes, 47 seconds long but well worth it. It includes the confrontation between AJ McCarron and Barrett Jones late in the game, which Jones said later was about the snap count. Jones claimed he was right, and the film seems to back him up. Nobody moved on the line.

Re: Latest Bama News 1/10/13

Alabama has proven it has staying power, but the Tide will lose at least two members of their offensive line in highly decorated center Barrett Jones and left guard Chance Warmack. Right tackle D.J. Fluker could also leave early for the NFL, as could running back Eddie Lacy and cornerback Dee Milliner. However, quarterbackAJ McCarron returns, as do as freshmen T.J. Yeldon and Amari Cooper.

Re: Latest Bama News 1/10/13

Early enrollees have played a vital part of the Crimson Tide’s success on both sides of the ball since Nick Saban took over the University of Alabama football program in 2007. Defensive backs like Kareem Jackson and Dee Milliner, who both started double digit games as true freshman, played major roles on the Crimson Tide defense after making the decision to enroll early at the Capstone. On offense, Alabama fans need look no further back than this season to see the impact that early enrollees can have. BothT.J. Yeldon and Amari Cooper were early enrollees and can be largely credited with the Crimson Tide’s offensive success in 2012, with Yeldon rushing for over 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdowns to go with Cooper being the team’s top receiver and one of the SEC’s best.
