Led Oklahoma State to a national championship in 2006. Our Athletic Dept has become a magnate for good coaches. Guess this means we are now a Golf School;)

Seriously, read the linked article below. McGraw may have had the classiest response ever to being fired after 15+ years at the same school, including several conference championships and a NC.

Either there's something more to the firing than just his record, or, if it really is the record alone, he won't be in Tuscaloosa long as an assistant.

I would suggest (he won't be in Tuscaloosa long), if indeed he makes it to Tuscaloosa at all. Haven't read anywhere yet that it is a done deal. (Corrected the spelling, thanks)

Well it is official now.

"I'm excited for the opportunity at Alabama and the chance to get to work with some really incredible players," McGraw said. Jay Seawell has been a good friend of mine for a long time and he is obviously a great coach. There is something to be learned from Jay for sure and hopefully my experience and background can help strengthen an already successful program."

Great to have a coach of his ability, particularly in recruiting, on staff.

Still, you have to think he'll be a HC somewhere soon. But while he's here, the sun is shining even brighter than it already was, so we need to make lots of hay.

Roll Tide, Coach McGraw, and welcome aboard!
