I think the general nature of the game is going to surprise some folks.
I don't see this game being like the last few. Both defenses will struggle.
Bama's a little less than LSU's.

OK, for the stats folks.....
who's have 50th ranked rushing d, 21st ranked total d, 20th ranked pass d,
who's have 28th ranked passing o, 31st ranked rushing o, 22nd ranked total o
I don't ever recall a time in the last 10 years where the who's have had rankings that low, especially on d, going in to the Bama game. Hence my (temporary) prediction.
Oh, yeah, and they haven't played Bama or A&M yet...I don't think the d rankings are going up much.

LSU is a good team but I think we play our best 60 minute game yet.

I think AJ has a solid game aginst their young corners and OJ howard and TJ have a good game in the passing game against the Who's LB's.....

AJ goes something like 19-25 for 230 yards and 3TD's, with Howard catching one, TJ gets another screen for a TD, and Mr. Norwood kills the Tigers again with 6 catches for 105 yards and a TD.

With that said, I think our D plays well and it ends up something like...

Bama 34
LSU 13

I appreciate everyone's opinion so, please help me understand how you think LSU will score as much as 3 Touchdowns on our defense..at home?

This game is always hard fought but Mecklenberger is no better than Bo in my opinion.

So I think the score will be similar

Alabama 28
LSU 0

Three picks in this game.

Last year IMO it seemed like the game could have been out of reach after we got up 14-0 but we let off the gas and they made it a game. I think this year we put down the pedal and never let up. I say 31-10 with the bye week helping LSU stay in the game for a little while.

I think LSU wears down in the 2nd half. If we pour on the steam for three and a half quarters we're looking at 40+ points and allowing them no more than two TD's.

LSU had a lot exposed in their loss to Ole Miss.

Their offense is good, but not great - personally, I don't think it's as good as ours.

Our defense is lightyears beyond theirs.

I don't see LSU slowing our running game (their DL looks suspect for the first time in a long time). They will have to press on offense to keep up, which will lead to mistakes and turnovers. LSU will add a late TD to make the score more respectable but we will dominate for most of the game.

Gut feeling
LSU is always a tough out, and even in the 21-0 championship "mauling," our offense struggled, especially on 3rd down in LSU territory, kicking 5 field goals before scoring a late TD. But this LSU team is not as good as the ones we are used to seeing, while this Bama team seems like it might be. LSU is always up for Bama, but we will be up for them too. Mettenberger may cause some of us to dogcuss the secondary, but unless we gift wrap the game for them, which I believe is unlikely, we move on to 9-0, in a game that is close until the 4th quarter, when we add some insurance scores.

Stats
Alabama is scoring 148% of opponents' average points allowed, while giving up 29% of opponents' average points scored. The ratio is 5.03, which is 1st in the nation.
LSU is scoring 143% of opponents' average points allowed, while giving up 82% of opponents' average points scored. The ratio is 1.76, which is 21st in the nation.

Projected score:
Alabama 33
LSU 14
