I was disappointed with the loss Friday to UGA but in a single elimination tourney, winning it all is twice as hard. As pointed out on ESPNU as long as you're a top 8 seed, you're in great shape.

I like the T-Town regional although USA will be a tough out. AGAIN- while I know we'll ride the J Train, I hope Littlejohn gets lots of innings because a super regional against Mizzou (who despite their early SECT exit) are playing very well) will be tough. Still, I like the road to OKC for us- Glad to avoid a PAC 12 team or UcheaT/FLA until then.

Yeah, part of me thought "why the heck did they make the SEC tourney single elimination"? But then I thought about it and it will make Jackie Traina (and all SEC pitchers) a lot fresher for the NCAAs. It wouldn't hurt SEC baseball to do the same thing.

Thanks all, got it all updated:biga2:

The girls are playing pretty good considering the pitching they were having to face in this regional.

The girls looked strong today, jumped on Upstate early. Traina pitched very well, after the first couple of batters.

I haven't seen them play in their regional. Seems every time they are supposed to be playing, ESPN is showing La Crosse instead. :frown:
Hopefully they'll get more attention in their Super Regional.
ESPN did not cover any of the regionals this year. In the past, they have covered just two of them, and almost always seemed to be at the wrong one at the wrong time.

Will play Nebraska as their 2B put on a clinic today. Hit 4 HRs, 2 in each game. Won 11-4 and 8-1 over MO.

Another team celebrating on the MO field.:biggrin2:

7 of the 11 SEC teams still playing. UF, UK, and ut have advanced along with Bama. The jumping bean barn girls are in a second game of the day against MN, after winning the first 4-3. LSU just forced a second game at AZ, winning the first 5-1. That regional should already be over. LSU led AZ 8-6 going to the bottom of the 7th yesterday and gave up 3 runs to lose 8-9. LSU win tonight would send them to LA-LA land for the Super Regional.

It has rained all day in the Atlanta-Athens area so UGA will have to play all night to advance after losing yesterday to NCSU. First game is now underway with UGA ahead 2-0 in the first inning.
