Beef & Onion Pie

1 lb. ground beef
2 packets French onion soup mix
1 cup warm water
12 slices American cheese OR Velveeta
2 cans refrigerated biscuits

Brown beef in a skillet; drain; return to heat. Stir in onion soup mix until beef is coated; stir in water; bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

Spread beef mixture in a 13" X 9" X 2" baking pan. Lay cheese slices over beef. Lay uncooked biscuits in a single layer over cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 12-16 minutes, until biscuits are golden.


Smoked Sausage Supper

2 Tbls. butter OR margarine
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
14 oz. can stewed tomatoes - chopped
6 oz. can tomato paste
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 cup beer
1 lb. Sausage- sliced, low-fat okay
2 cups cooked egg noodles

In a skillet, sauté onion and green pepper in butter until soft. Stir stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, and spices into skillet; simmer for 10 minutes.

In separate skillet, simmer sausage in beer for 10 minutes. Drain sausage; discard beer. :( Fold together all ingredients.


Chicken & Rice Bake

4 boned and skinned chicken breast halves
1 1/2 cups uncooked white rice
1 can condensed cream of celery soup
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
2 soup cans of water
1 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix

Spread rice evenly over the bottom of a 9" X 9" X 2" baking dish.

Combine condensed soups and water; pour 1/2 of this mixture over the rice. Arrange the chicken breasts in the pan, making sure not to overlap. Pour remaining soup mixture over the chicken. Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over the chicken.

Bake in a 400 degree oven for 1 hour.


Taco Dinner Salad

1 pound ground beef
1 sm. onion - chopped
1 cup salsa - mild or medium
3/4 cup water
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 package tortilla chips
1 small head lettuce - cut in shreds
4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese or taco blend shredded cheese,
1 cup sour cream
chopped tomatoes
taco sauce

Cook beef and onion until beef is browned. Drain fat. Stir in salsa, water and seasoning. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer 2 - 3 min. Set aside.

Layer ingredients as follows in a 9" x 13" dish - crumbled chips, lettuce, meat mixture, shredded cheese, sour cream & tomatoes. Serve with taco sauce or salsa.

And I thought you didn't like cheese :D

Those sound delicious. I have actually found the taco salad bowls in the grocery store. The trick is getting them home and out of the box in one piece. :D

I don't like cheese, but the rest of my family does! :) Usually, I make that one little corner (i.e, taco casserole) with no chese!
