Possibly getting tickets to the game. Need suggestions on the best (ala fastest exit) place to park for someone trying to get back to Montgomery.

Ride Marta train. Park and ride west of town off I-20 or park and ride at or near the airport. Most people using Marta will be coming from the north so it's a lot easier to come in from the west or south of town. RTR

If I were you I would take MARTA. If you park at Hamilton E Holmes station, you're right at I-20 & I-285. Take 285 South and you run into 85 and on to Montgomery. You won't have to deal with traffic after you get back to the station.

Apartment complex near The intersection of Mitchell st SW and Northside Dr NW offers decent parking. Just parked there Sunday. Can't remember the name. Only paid $5 to park

are you planning on parking at the stadium? or would you be willing to take marta?

the college park station is down near the airport very convenient to i-85. after the game, you can walk from the stadium to the garnett station (station S1) and take it southbound. i do this every time i go to dome events and miss all of the crazy of the georgia dome and 5 points stations.

follow the link to see how to walk from dome to garnett station. dome to garnett

and here is the college park marta station near 85 i-85 to marta

In case you haven't noticed the overwhelming trend in advice, take the MARTA. Nothing easier out there

Solid info here. If you use MARTA, buy your "out" token when you buy the one to take you in. You will avoid standing in a line to get the token after the game and your exit will be less bothersome.

thankfully they got rid of tokens. marta is now using cards so you can buy a two way trip card and pay for everything on the inbound trip.

Fully agree. Parked here in 2012. Plenty of parking. Easy in and out from I-20 just east of I-285.

I bought tickets from the lots managed by the Georgia Dome/World Congress Center in 2012 and 2014. It's close to the stadium and monitored.
