Dabo still reminds me of an Amway guy. I don't like his personality but that's really my perception and problem, I suppose.
I believe it was stated last night that CNS tried to hire Dabo at least once (maybe 2 or 3 times?). Whatever happened in the past must not have been a big issue for CNS if he tried to hire Dabo. I will stick with my prediction a few weeks ago, when CNS steps down Dabo will be on the short list of candidates. He might not be offered the job, he might not even want the job, but I believe he will get serious consideration. A lot can happen between now and then, Dabo could flame out at Clemson. Kiffin might leave to be a HC somewhere and be in a good spot to take the job. Same for Pruitt. McElwain might prefer Bama over UF. There is no way to know what might happen but if CNS retires tomorrow then IMHO Dabo is the short list of candidates to replace him.
Anyone who has any sources at all understands that, when you reveal a source, you lose it forever, aside from betraying a confidence or friendship. You can question other members, but it's pretty useless to query staff members about their sources...I wasn't doubting you or anyone. Simply asking a question to understand better.
I watched the rebroadcast in which the coaches were talking throughout the game....offensive and defensive coaches. Muschamp, Narduzzi for the defense, McElwain, Fedora and Taggart for offense.I believe it was stated last night that CNS tried to hire Dabo at least once (maybe 2 or 3 times?). He is doing a great job, but I can't put him in the top 5 until I see him back on the big stage with his next quarterback. There are is one Watson to every fifteen with that potential on paper. So he could be exceptional or a good coach, it's too early. At this point in his career, I would not be excited to see him at Bama, not really. i just don't like his style
How could he afford to be in a fraternity with the financial problems the media likes to tell?I was a student at Bama when Swinney was there. He was in a fraternity that I had lots of friends in. I remember him being someone I wouldn't have wanted to date. haha. Maybe because he was too "lame." I liked fun guys and he just seemed blah, maybe a little fake. I can't really pinpoint it, but my roommate was a cleat chaser and never had any interest in him either. There is just something about him--maybe the way he uses his past to get sympathy, attention--that drives me nuts. Just be who you are without having to have a sob story. Maybe I'm just mean but I'm tired of Dabo the Media Darling.
Considering we could be as much as 10 years off from having to answer the question of Saban's replacement, there's literally no telling what options might be around then. Five years ago no one would have considered Dabo, in five years there will be more options.Having said that, I'm not sure what the best alternatives are.
I'll agree somewhat with that statement. But not to a FINAL end, just a temporary end. Now, that END could be for only a few years. Most of us Bama fans want CNS's replacement to be a CNS clone but that ain't gonna happen. Enjoy these good days boys and girls because all good things eventually come to an end.

Yeah, there is an aspect of coaching that requires selling your team and brand to recruits and boosters, but a gifted salesman comes across as genuine. Dabo comes across as a salesman.Dabo still reminds me of an Amway guy. I don't like his personality but that's really my perception and problem, I suppose.
I did just that. He's 75-27 at Clemson. Now that's not quite Les Miles at LSU good (112-32 which was almost good enough to get fired), but it's pretty good. Then I remembered he coached in the ACC, the weakest major conference. So what is so darn special about that record?Maybe you need to take a look at his overall record and rankings again and go back and look at Clemson's final rankings before Dabo. I understand a lot of folks don't care for his antics but you can't deny what he has done on the field.
He wasn't asking about your sources. He was asking what Dabo's involvement was.Anyone who has any sources at all understands that, when you reveal a source, you lose it forever, aside from betraying a confidence or friendship.
