Re: Report: Mississippi State LB Leo Lewis received $21,000 before National Signing D

So he gets paid by ol sis and Miss State to only choose to go to the rival state school with 21,000 in hand and only has to testify that ol sis paid him and he gets immunity? Sounds like a movie plot.
He's not the only player that received immunity. He's just the main one Ole Miss fans want to discuss since he's referenced in the NOA.

Same story we heard from Cam Newton's team. Yes, Cam was offered money to attend MSU, but he didn't take a dime when he went to Auburn instead?

Every time a player comes clean about the $$$ that they have accepted, it makes it clear that everyone is spending $$$ on these players.

Well we know how this goes with the NCAA. When you don't play ball, they eventually start fighting dirty.

This just went from bad to worse for OM.

I was starting to think they might walk away with a slap on the wrist, but now that this is in the news, the hammer will fall...

Without evidence that he was purchasing the time of the escorts for players, I'll work under the assumption that he was doing this for the same reason that almost every other person uses escorts - for his own pleasure. This is between him and his wife. I couldn't care less.

If you want Ole Miss to burn for their NCAA infractions, you kinda wanted Freeze on the payroll until the end. Not only did Ole Miss save money because of the escorts, but they look better in the eyes of the NCAA for having taken this action before it was required (because a show cause was/is coming if half of what we have read proves out).

Who got the bill? Were they paid in cash? Was a Ole Sis credit card ever used? WHO ELSE KNEW?

This what Ole Miss is counting on. No matter how they act, they believe they are only going to get hit so hard.
There is a precedent being set here. If Ole Miss is allowed to continue to harass Lewis, they will never have anyone agree to interview with them again.

The Leo Lewis interview did not come from Leo Lewis begging the NCAA to be interviewed. It came from other things they were hearing and they already had the information. They simply wanted SA39 to corroborate information they already had. He did.
Now, let's ask the question----who would have had the information in order to spill it? It didn't come from an operation Red Dog deal. It didn't come out of a rumor mill. It was believable information that came from someone with enough knowledge to give the NCAA names and times and dates and etc... Now who could that be? I understand this guy is a friend of a friend and has good friends in South Florida.

Hearing some chatter Chris Kiffin wants immunity from his known violations. Man, the in-fighting among the OM power brokers and staff unreal

Note----no mention of "administration"----Only power brokers and staff. Administration is completely out of the loop and the lunatics are running the asylum.

Read his twitter. He has been spot on for months. If former coaches are requesting immunity it means they are offering something new. What could possibly be new that would be good for Ole Miss?
If the NCAA does not make this hurt, regardless of the monetary impact, they will have created a mess they can't clean up.

Sooner or later, the NCAA will have to look at this or another case as the defining crossroads for it as a governing organization. I would have thought that they would have arrived at that point before now ( Louisville, UNC, etc., etc., etc. ) but it does not appear so.

Anyone else notice in this article that Lewis was asked if Ole Miss ever provided a lady for him? Could this be connected to freeze and the escorts?
I'm sure that was what they were wanting to find out.
Something that may be for another thread:
“We arranged it ... because I needed it. Well, I didn’t need it, I take that back. I asked for it. It was getting — it was getting close to Signing Day and so I just — I just asked for the 10 grand,” Lewis told the NCAA.

"Henderson allegedly told Farrar that she had received multiple cash offers for Lewis, including $650,000 from LSU and $80,000 from Mississippi State."

Are we really supposed to believe that LSU offered them $650,000 but they decided to settle for some 20 grand?

Sounds to me like he was "shopped" a'la Cam Newton.
