From the "they just can't hep themselves" department.
Let's use this to set the story up---
This is the back story and the character we are dealing with--------from 2010

Why is this such a big deal? First, the kid has been committed to Clemson for the better part of a year. March of 2016 to be exact--------

Clemson must have had a really bad year to make him think of casting his lot with a 5-7 team about to go on probation, huh? And then we come across this ------

Quote - "The discrepancies were discovered by Principal Ronnie Mackin and his staff. They were conducting an audit to ensure all students had proper course selection for graduation when the academic discrepancies were found. The discrepancies were reported to District officials and an internal investigation is now underway."

Short version - Shelby County Schools was doing the investigation at the request of the Tresevant principal and found problems. TSSAA was not investigating. After information is sent to TSSAA, all students met their eligibility requirements. Simple terms----old grades were good for playing in high school---just not for graduation, and it was not an eligibility issue for the TSSAA. Might there be smoke like around another Memphis prospect from 2012, Jovon Robinson? 125 Division 1 coaches knew Jovon Robinson wasn't going to be eligible and all of a sudden Trooper Taylor and Curtis Looper have him practicing at Auburn.
Now Richardson wants to go to Ole Miss immediately after an official visit----isn't that special?
