TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The Alabama women's golf team opens play as the No. 1 seed in the 2016 NCAA Women's Golf Regional held in Shoal Creek, Ala., on Thursday May 5. The three-day 54-hole regional will run through Saturday May 7, and will be hosted by The University of Alabama at the Shoal Creek Club.

Let's go Ladies. Win this thing and advance to Oregon.

Bama will start the third and final round in fourth place. Five strokes ahead of fifth place ut, and 16 strokes behind the leader, Northwestern.

Another poor start in round 3. Have lost the 5 stroke lead over ut in the first 4 holes. Now tied with them at +35, playing with them and California on holes 5-8.

“It’s nice to know that even if we don’t play well, we can get through this and survive,” head coach Mic Potter said. “This definitely wasn’t our best golf. We hit a lot of poor shots relative to our ability and how we’ve played recently. Now this golf course will do that to you. You get a little anxiety and a little tension and it’s hard to make your swing.
