The Crimson Tide and Razorbacks will meet for the 80th time in series history on Friday evening

TUSCALOOSA, AL - Alabama will hit the road for its final road trip of the 2016 regular season, heading to Fayetteville for a weekend series at Baum Stadium against Arkansas. The Crimson Tide and Razorbacks are scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. CT start in the series opener on Friday before a 6 p.m. CT start in game two. Sunday's finale is set for a 1 p.m. CT first pitch. All three games will air on SECN+.
LEADING OFF
Arkansas is coming off a weekend series at No. 13 LSU in which they were swept. Prior to the three games in Baton Rouge, the Hogs fell, 14-6, to Missouri State in a single midweek game last Tuesday. The Razorbacks have lost six in a row coming into this weekend's series.
Alabama and Arkansas will meet for the 80th time in series history when the teams square off on Friday night. The Crimson Tide owns the all-time advantage, 43-36, but the Razorbacks are in front when the games are in Fayetteville, holding a 21-15 lead. Arkansas swept Alabama when the two teams met last season in Hoover from April 30-May 2. The Hogs are currently riding a five-game winning streak vs. the Tide and have won eight of the last 10 meetings overall.
The Crimson Tide will call on its trio of right-handed starters for the weekend once again, first with junior Geoffrey Bramblett opening the series on Friday night. Sophomore Jake Walters will follow on Saturday evening, before junior Nick Eicholtz closes out the series with the midday start on Sunday.
The Razorbacks counter with junior right-hander Dominic Taccolini on Friday night to begin the weekend.
Arkansas will send sophomore Keaton McKinney, another righty, to the mound on Saturday for the second game of the series, while the Sunday starter is still to be announced for the Hogs.

Two days later, UA will begin its final series of the season against eighth-ranked South Carolina from Thursday until Saturday.
