Not sure what you are watching, but our girls finished 4th (3 shots from 2nd place) at the Shoal Creek Regional and will play in the championships starting Friday in Eugene, OR. Rolltide.com is your friend for all things Bama.

BRADENTON, Fla. -- Once the reality of victory hit Wednesday, all the Stanford moms, dads and other family members screamed and hugged amongst themselves exactly like the Cardinal players.
Seconds before, Stanford had beaten Baylor for the 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship at hole No. 10 of Concession Golf Club. Ken Stackhouse, whose daughter Mariah had defeated Baylor's Haley Davis in the day's fifth and deciding match, was one of those parents jumping and exulting along with Mariah's stepmom, Caroline Stackhouse.

The championship format consists of all 24 teams and 12 individuals completing 54 holes of stroke play, and then the top 15 teams along with the top nine individuals not on an advancing team will advance for one additional day of stroke play to determine the top eight teams for match play competition and the 72-hole stroke play individual champion. The top eight teams then compete in match play for the championship.

Huh!? Without playing two rounds in one day, would someone please explain to me how you get 8 teams down to one in just two days of match play. Seems to me that, with 8 teams, you would need 3 days of match play to get down to one. Eight on the fourth day, four on the fifth day, and two on the sixth day.

The girls shot a +12 in round 1, good for 23rd of 24 teams. Out of it before it hardly gets started.

The ladies shot a +2 today and moved up 7 spots to 14th. Just in time as only the top 15 get to participate in the 4th round of stroke play tomorrow. Then the field is trimmed to the top 8 for match play.
