Actually, that was Paul who said that.
That's actually a great example. It means one thing to the Western world however it still means the same as it always has to Indians. In the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit it means "well being". I have recently seen an Indian co-worker buy a new car and actually paint the symbol on the hood of the car where the hood ornament would be located.
