Appetizer: Nawlins BBQ Shrimp

Ingredients...

8lbs large shrimp in the shell
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup olive oil
4TBS Worstershire
8 oz chili sauce
2 lemons, sliced
4 cloves garlic chopped
3 TBS lemon juice
2TBS chopped parsley
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp oregano
2 TBS crab boil
2 tsp Tabasco
1 TBS liquid smoke
1 TBS salt or to taste, same with black pepper
1 TBS slap you Mama powder
1 lb bacon

Cook bacon, chop, and set aside, reserve 1 TBS of drippings

Place all shrimp on greased baking pans

combine all other items except bacon in saucepan and heat over low, then cool. Add bacon, then pour over shrimp and refrigerate. Let marinate several hours, stirring occasionally

Bake at 300 degrees for 25 -30 minutes, stirring and turning shrimp twice

Serve in soup bowls, with crusty french bread for sauce soppin, and LOTS of napkins

Wal mart, I think winn dixie and publix might have it as well

This dish is messy and got a decent kick, but I usually add some extra heat. I also usually sautee some onion and green pepper in the bacon fat to add in as well
