The Crimson Tide will have one month in the books following Saturday’s scrimmage

10/3/2016

TUSCALOOSA, AL
– The Alabama baseball team heads into its fourth week of fall practice after reaching the halfway point of fall camp last week. Coach Goff and the Crimson Tide will once again play three scrimmages and participate in two full practices this week.

Last week, the Crimson Tide went through a full workout on Monday with a practice and situational scrimmage on Tuesday. Wednesday was another open field day before Thursday's full team practice. Thursday's work concluded with a game of "Around the World" that resulted in a victory for the pairing of Chandler Avant and Cobie Vance. Friday featured another scrimmage, which ended in a tie, before Saturday's scrimmage that was split into one four-inning affair followed by a three-inning intrasquad.

The Crimson Tide returns to the diamond this afternoon with a 2:15-5:30 p.m. CT session before a 2-5:30 p.m. practice and situational scrimmage on Tuesday. Wednesday is the team's open field day, with practice scheduled for 2-5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Friday will be another split practice-scrimmage date, with the day beginning at 1:30 p.m. and set to finish at 5 p.m. The week will close on Saturday's final scrimmage with pregame set to start at 11:30 a.m. followed by the intrasquad.

All practice times are subject to change depending on weather conditions for the day. Scrimmages are subject to change, with the amount of innings and pitches per game being determined as fall camp progresses. Dates and times of all practices and scrimmages for the upcoming week can be found on RollTide.com each Monday.

Sewell-Thomas Stadium will be open to fans who wish to watch the practice and scrimmage dates. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are encouraged to stay in the lower bowl seating area, as access to the upper levels of the stadium is restricted.

For any updates/changes to practice times or complete cancellations please check @AlabamaBSB on Twitter or Alabama Baseball on Facebook.
