This is my opinion, but on Petty: I really felt like Calipari slow played Petty and Petty was wise to move the announcement date up to see what Kentucky would do, and I think that's the best thing he could do, because if He had waited til December or January, He probably would've regretted waiting so long for Kentucky when he had other options. I have no idea to this date why Kentucky doesn't have commitments by now and on top of that next year he'll lose lot of guards and I would think that by now, he should lock up 4 or 5 players and not having to worry about recuiting hard during the season. I think the flirt with NBA is what hurting him right now.
I told someone the other day that if you want to get to NBA within two years, Go to Kentucky, but if you want to take the time to develop the game and be potentially ready when NBA comes calling, then go somewhere else. Their system is only good for 1 and 2 year players. On top of that, Out of all Kentucky players that made to NBA, how many are still playing or receiving significant playing time?
