Thought they had standards at Notre Dame.

You're late to the party. Several "Saban rules" since his first year. First I can remember was a limit to Head Coaches time personally evaluating and contacting players. Tubbs needed duck huntin' time. Remember Saban responding with the video chats?

Kelly does realize that Saban has been practicing with pro players since 2008, right? It's just that most of them hadn't made it there yet.

If they were pro players, I don't think Saban has enough pull to get their employers to allow them go scout team here.

Really a flattering statement from Kelly...he must think Saban is gonna give the NFL owners marching orders to help Bama win.

Seems Kelly has run out of players to throw under the bus so he needs another distraction from his limitations as a major college football coach. He was emasculated on January 7, 2013 and has now started wearing his skirt and pantyhose in public.

I'm not a huge fan of it being allowed, but if it is legal then why not do it. I agree a coach who is 3-6 should have better things to worry about.

Nothing is stopping anyone else from doing this. If Peyton Manning was running drills in Knoxville that's fine with me.

Whats really funny, is that it's not a loophole or some evil trickery . It's a bylaw, he didn't need permission, it's a very clear bylaw that says anyone can do it. Maybe Brian Kelley will figure that out next years as alabamas 5th offensive analyst
