Bamacon,

While I DO get your points and there's something to be said for them, there's a simple answer why Michigan is above Louisville - it's called "they're Michigan."

That REALLY is all it is. Same with Ohio State. If Indiana or Purdue had been 9-0 but lost to whoever the worst team in the B1G was at the time, they'd drop seven spots.

Good Grief you asked. Is it putting you out too much to go back ONE page and read? Here...
1) Alabama - Undefeated
2) Ohio State - 1 loss on the road to a Top 10 team
3) Louisville - 1 loss on the road to a Top 5 team but weaker schedule that tOSU
4) Washington -1 loss to a Top 15 team
5) Michigan - 1 loss to a NR 5-4 team on the road
6) Clemson - 1 loss to a NR 5-4 team AT HOME

If Michigan and Clemson really are Top 4 material make them prove it. If they win out they will leapfrog/knockout tOSU and Louisville anyway. But make them earn it back instead of getting a free pass on a horrible loss. Jmho
Last night is why most people didn't have Louisville in top 4. They're 2-2 vs teams over .500. The rest of their schedule is charmin soft..

Last night could have a pretty significant impact on the CFP. Clemson's biggest win takes a big hit, and one of Oklahoma's losses doesn't look nearly as bad now.

Well yeah that is crystal clear now. My opinion was based more on 'at the time' they had the most forgivable loss along with tOSU. Plus Clemson and Michigan should have recieved SOME worthwhile punishment for losing to mediocre NR opponents. I mean stiffer than keeping them both in the top 4 with only the seedings changing. That's not even a slap on the wrist. But it's all moot anyway. Mich is gonna get steamrolled and Clemson will win out. The #4 seed is what's up for grabs between Washington and all the 2-loss teams.

That FSU beatdown really swayed the sentiment towards Louisville. That win has lost a ton of luster. While FSU is clearly loaded with talent, they've got some huge problems with their OL and occasionally their veteran defense too.

And Louisville caught them on their third game in something like 18 days. Not excusing the beat down. Just pointing out a reason FSU might not have been at its best.
