yes, this election was to some extent about outsiders. but those "outsiders" are outsiders because they want to basically want to dismantle the federal government and "stick it to the elitists" and they didn't think the gop was doing that quickly enough. all trump did was spot a large group of marks and sell them a load of populist crap and he did it much better than the organizers of the tea party did.
and bernie would have been trounced in any general election. there is a reason that he couldn't beat hillary in the primaries and it wasn't because the deck was stacked against him. he had some good points, but he was a crank and a scold.
Disagree. Voters were fed up with the GOP because they were essentially turncoats. They'd get elected via their campaign promises and then do just the opposite. Instead of fighting against Obama's policies they turned around and gave him everything he wanted.
Bernie was no option because of his outright Socialism and Hillary couldn't have been seen as any more of a criminal if she were campaigning from a prison bus.
Every politician who got sent to DC got corrupted by the system before they could change it.
The only reasonable alternative was someone who wasn't a politician, a man who had plenty of experience in the business world and who had enough money of his own to not be corrupted by political bribery.
You want to know what we have in Donald Trump? We have a man who has accomplished more in a single week than his predecessor could manage in 8 years.
