I agree, the academy should be the place to explore new avenues of learning, to ask new questions. (Whether this lies within the canon of African Cultural Studies, I would not be the best judge.)
Still, if a math professor taught that 2+2=3, the school might have something to say about the matter.
If the Grand Kleagle of Mississippi were to have a class at Ole Miss about the Problem with Blackness, some, perhaps you, might be a little concerned.
