Does the Bama Defense Take a Step Backwards Next Year?

I just don't see how it is possible not to take a few steps backward. Either that or these players aren't as special as we think that they are.

What did you guys see from De'Shawn Hand this year? I know he played plenty of snaps, but I don't know yet if he is going to be a great player. Is he going to step up and be a force replacing Allen? How well he puts it all together will be a real key for next year.

Hand has got to make the leap next year. We need at least two guys to step up at the OLB in base/DE in nickel roles too. There is a good chance Evans will move to JLB or SLB if either of our two 5-star freshman LBs on campus step up in the off-season.

I don't think so either Earle.."The Process" Coach Saban has in place continually refills holes left from Player's leaving early or from graduation & if injuries happen during the season, we go to the Player next up on the depth chart..

"The Process" to the chagrin of the rest of college football is only growing stronger, if I were a fan of another team, I'd prolly be jealous & hate Bama as well cause we truly do just plug n play now at Bama on this continuous yearly NC Run we're living right now at Bama..

I see us giving up a few more points on D next season. If Jalen improves his passing however we may be unstoppable on offense.

The biggest concern for me next year is where the pass rush will come from. Allen, Anderson, Williams and Tomlinson will be tough to replace, losing all of them together. Evans is the only guy left that you could consider elite at the moment, although other guys have the potential.

We brought in a grad transfer this year as an insurance policy for Griff and likely to start next year...

God bless him, but I can't spell his Greek name...he seems alright. Maybe doesn't have the range of Griffith when he's on; kinda reminds me of Shelley from the 2011 team. You get him in his range and he's good to go...

As a punter Sailer has him rated as the 40th ranked guy, as 4.5 star which is somewhere between D1 and D2. So he'd be a backup option as a punter as well.
