It's no wonder we have antibiotic resistant bacteria. 70% of the antibiotics used in the US are by meat and poultry producers to fatten animals rather than treat disease. Producers like Perdue should be applauded for their commitment to no longer use antibiotics in poultry. Makes me wonder about a possible cause of the obesity epidemic as well.
