Have to disagree. During the early years of the Beatles a studio drummer was used on the records as Ringo was not up to snuff. Ringo was OK, but never close to the talent of the other three.
Only for the September 11, 1962 sessions and, reportedly, only for the Love Me Do and PS I Love You tracks. Too many old memories and recollections have faded to verify much. At any rate, it was only in the opinion of George Martin, so Andy White was brought in for those tracks. Probably because Ringo was visiting America to see Bama play!

Ringo was once asked why his drum rifts sounded almost exactly opposite of the majority of drummers.
He said, "Very simple. I'm left handed while most drummers and people in general are right handed. So I basically play backwards."
