Think about it. We shutout MSU last year, were a one loss team and playing the #1 undefeated team in the nation. This year, Clemson is shutting out OUS (both B1G teams), has one loss and will be playing the #1 undefeated team in the nation. You can't ask for a better match up and story line.

So what's everyone's early thoughts on the game? I'll start the prediction thread Monday, but wanted to get an early feel.
Yeah, but last year you were the hunter. I was staying within the theme of the thread.
If Alabama and Clemson both play like you did today, Clemson wins. However, I expect a much better game from Jalen and an easy Alabama win.
Alabama will be slightly favored by Vegas but all the talking heads will pick Clemson. Clemson will get most of the hype next week.
Looking back on it, the 2016 championship game was the first time I truly pulled for Alabama under Saban. I remember putting the student deposit down at Alabama for my son on NYE last year. I think I was still in shock and just monitored the semi final game. Haha
We really don't need another week of Kiffin being lost in playcalling or Hurts looking like a true freshman QB. But it's going to take a lot to deny this defense. I suspect our defense will want to atone for last year's poor performance and I hope our offense atones for today's.
Jake made key throws/completions in last yrs game that were absolutely crucial to our winning. Looks like we may have a reversal right there.
As others have stated, odds makers may favor Tide and media will hype Clemson. I still have a good feeling and believe we will have game plan and definitely will bring it. ROLL TIDE
Our defense is even better and faster this year. I just hope we have better play calling on offense.
The media will be all over Clemson. So I look forward to keeping off ESPN and just wait till the game.
I'm worried. Clemson looked like a team on a mission. While our defense did also, our offense did not. Hard to project how our poor performance on offense tonight might or might not be relevant next week. Clearly, I hope that Clemson's dominant performance gets our attention. Meanwhile, any update on Urban's emergency room condition?
Tell that to Ole Miss. Bama played a top 5 defense, played HORRIBLE on offense, and won by 17.
So will street bettors. I bet it is a near pick'em by kickoff. Watch where the whales bet though.
And, Dabo is throwing down the gauntlet. I think he has done wonders for them, but I really would wince and and gnash teeth if he was speaking for us.
It will be a Prilosec game again I think Watson will get 20 points by himself despite how good our defenses the key is going to be if we can match score for score whether an ad on we can
