That is amazing considering that last year we were out rebounded just about every game. The great Bill Russell used to say that rebounding is timing, position and desire.

Brutal, just brutal. How can college players who get a free education for playing basketball be such absolutely horrible shooters? I'm glad we play hard and play defense. Let's get this win and try to keep improving.

Many fans haven't climbed on the bandwagon. I came to this side of the sports board to see the BB thread. It too is somewhat empty. I hope AJ can develop a good competitive team that will draw some of the cage fans we had long ago. The team deserves support.

This has been a chronic problem for many, many years. I can remember games in the 70s, when we were nationally ranked, but had many empty seats and the Varsity Cheerleaders not even showing up, unless the game was on TV. Wimp got a decent average crowd with the "Plaid Palace" approach, but things really fell apart after he had his unfortunate issues.

The Bama fans do tend to be spoiled by our football program and some also do not understand how many more colleges are competitive in basketball. Maybe next years recruiting class can add enough offensive talent to bring in a more steady crowd, but some thought does need to be given about how to better manage the situation of season ticket holders simply not showing up and also not giving their tickets to anyone else who will use them. This is one reason that many SEC schools have actually built smaller basketball specific facilities.
