A Westside man told officers that "Diesel," a dog, accidentally shot his sleeping girlfriend in her leg, records show, reports First Coast News in Jacksonville.

The boyfriend stated he thought "Diesel" hopped up on a nightstand where his gun was sitting and it went off, according to the incident report.

The girlfriend allegedly told officers she was awakened by a pain to her leg.

Maybe the dog felt like he wasn't getting all that the woman could give....in their relationship....
