This also could be linked to the thread about cable costs/ESPN. The model of pouring cash into a league and then changing the game to attract new fans while alienating old fans never seemed sustainable to me, but they have made it last longer than I expected because some fans keep shelling out huge bucks no matter how much the actual games seem to become a side note to all of the other "entertainment" going on at the venues. I also think many fans are turned off when many of the players, owners, and agents seem to feel entitled to the millions that they should feel very fortunate to get just for playing games. It is interesting to see how things unfold. I hope they save the game of college football so I can enjoy it through my older years.
