He was promoted to associate athletics director for development at UT in 2002. At UT, Currie managed the coaching search that resulted in the hiring of Bruce Pearl in 2005. He also helped lead the search for UT baseball coach Todd Raleigh and football coach Lane Kiffin.
Here is to a continued amazing track record!

And maybe a few visits from the NZAA, just for old times sake.

Raleigh went 42-78 in SEC play in four seasons and never made it to Hoover. This guy has an eye for baseball coaches as well.

He averaged 10 SEC wins each year. I'd be shocked if Goff wins 10 SEC Games this year.

I frankly think fat Phil would have been a better hire from Bama's perspective. This guy is young, energetic, and looking to build a long-term career in Knoxville. Will be interesting to see how quickly he takes out Butch Jones.
