How's the saying about assuming things go again?I assume from the different post that you guys would rather have a team and QB with gaudy statistics than win a championship.

Not what any of us are saying. Some of us were saying Krazy's comment was correct and yours was wrong and you used a comparison to try to get your pointless comment across. I think you would have to agree.I assume from the different post that you guys would rather have a team and QB with gaudy statistics than win a championship.
Don't be ugly just because my opinion is not the same as others.Wow....just checked out the third and fourth pages of the thread. My question would be.."Is Moro Bottom in Auburn or Norman"?
Say it with me everyone. Championships are a TEAM accomplishment and not an individual player award. Championships should only be used to differentiate QBs careers when they have similar career stats IMO.IMO, championships are all that matter. Jamelle's team won the nation championship, Jalen's team did not. You can talk all you want to about statistics but the bottom line is winning.
I agree 100%. Not even sure you can use a Championship (even stats) to help differentiate between two QBs on different teams. Holieway's skill set fit well with what Oklahoma ran during his time, but was he a better QB that Troy Aikman? Or several of our championship QB's of late?Say it with me everyone. Championships are a TEAM accomplishment and not an individual player award. Championships should only be used to differentiate QBs careers when they have similar career stats IMO.

No grief to me what others say because that's their opinion. I have strong opinions. There no use in anyone being ugly because of that. Standard to me is winning, if that's absurd, so be it.Wrong.
You're catching grief because your opinion is based on an absurd standard.
You're using a team award to judge a single player's season. That's not very doable. No grief to me what others say because that's their opinion. I have strong opinions.
When you're talking about comparing two players solely based on a team award, it's very absurd. There no use in anyone being ugly because of that. Standard to me is winning, if that's absurd, so be it.
Again, you're comparing two players solely by a team award. Jalen's stats were much better than Holieway's freshman stats. IIRC, Jalen's freshman stats were better than any of Holieway's four years in Norman. How many major college true freshman go 11-1 and have their team win the national championship?
Why did you leave off Jalen's 13 rushing TDs and 23 passing TDs and Holieway's 9 rushing TDs and 5 passing TDs?1985 Jamelle Holieway
12 games (11-1)
passing 8.9 yards average
Rushing 5.0 yard average
2016 Jalen Hurts
15 games (14-1)
passing 7.3 yards average
rushing 5.0 average
Seems close to me.
Seems you don't know when to quit. Those are situational stats you want to make work for your argument. Here are the true stats.1985 Jamelle Holieway

Wow, you're being petty. But look at my edit time and the time of your post....It's Bart Starr.
