Not condoning, but we hit like that while in full pads in high school practice, not to hurt but to impress coaches. I know,.... I'm a neanderthal.
Yah, same here - but we weren't SEC athletes working for a billion dollar conference.
We had a couple hits last night that went beyond the norm...one of which was after the player went out of bounds. A QB too....shudder.....
I agree - I grew up in an era in which big hits were required in practice, but I would never have considered blowing up one of my team mates like that.
Completely uncalled for. To those who say he may be doing anything to impress, quite the opposite is the result. To impress would be to play smart, pull up and not get the penalty. He got ejected and that won't win him any points.
Lazy and stupid attempt. Maybe he couldn't see because of the blockers in front of him? I could see that possibly being the case, but I'm not using that to excuse his play. Either way his form was horrible, and the whole thing looked awkward because of him.

You all make me sick. If you want to be the fifth best team in the SEC West, you have to have hit hard and practice hard. 
Cheap hit on the RB instead of jumping on the loose ball? What kind of football are they playing over there?
