One of the real challenges of coaching talent is managing the egos. If Braxton Key, against almost all objective reasoning, thought he was good enough for a shot at the NBA, how will he react to sharing playing time with a much deeper lineup? Here is where our coach's NBA experience could be key. No guarantees that all this new talent will meld, but you have to like the odds when CAJ has deep experience in dealing with personalities while he parses out the minutes. An immediate question for those in the know: Who become the leaders in the locker room?

Many believe Braxton didn't plan to actually enter the NBA Draft. He used the two month period to get some feedback from NBA scouts on areas he should improve his game.

Not to mention that in this day and age it is normal for Freshmen to explore after the season. Look at the predicted draft boards. Braxton did it right. He received feedback, and he didn't hire an agent.

I don't have any issues at all with the way Key handled things. He did it the right way, no harm no foul. We've seen some Alabama basketball players in the past really screw things up, Key didn't, he just got valuable feedback. With the way Avery is recruiting, we'll have to get used to the notion of guys leaving early. That will be part of it, just like Saban's football team. The key is to just keep the talent coming.
