In the next 5 years:

There will be 13 HC changes in the SEC (Alabama will not be one of them) and we will see the return of Joey Freshwater to the SEC.

Alabama will win 2 more NC and appear in the next five playoffs.

Alabama will be first team to go 15-0

Vandy will make their 1st appearance in the SECCG and lose to Bama 77-0

And old coots (like us!) will still be kvetching on how much we can't stand to watch the NFL. :biggrin2:
Bad news, in five years ESPN in a desperate attempt to stay in business will make a deal with the NFL to televise a game every night of the week except Saturday.

Here is my top 5 predictions for the next five years.

1. Saban retires. To honor him, the NCAA and all the recruiting services rename recruiting to SABANING.

2. Auburn goes on Double Secret Probation (again!) for paying a graduate transfer to sign with them. Auburn blames the REC.

3. Tenn. tries to hire Fulmer again, but he passes on the offer because he will have to travel into the state of Alabama every other year.

4. LSU sends Bama a property tax bill for owning Deeath Valley.

5. Saban takes over the GM position for the Atlanta Braves who win the World Series 4 out of 8 years.

I just got finished with my work and am dead tired, so I only have one prediction:

In five years, Alabama will be enjoying an 8 game win streak over the Barn...with no end in sight.

Sorry, AuDub.

Fun thread idea:

* Alabama wins 2 more NCs
* 1 more Heisman winner

* Alabama wins the SEC every year until Saban retires
* Saban retires after he wins #7
* Urban Meyer returns to the SEC to replace Saban
Sorry, but he has a negative stigma about him. Thanks, but no thanks!

Dabo Sweeney will be the next HC at Bama!!! :cool2:

(I am confident enough to spray paint this prediction on a chain link fence.)

Apparently bringing up Dabo isn't a good idea. :)

Might as well throw something out since I'm here . . .

1. Saban wins one more NC then retires.
2. Daboll named HC and wins NC in his first season
3. Bama has another Heisman trophy winner
4. Colonial Dr./10th Ave. renamed Saban Ave. after 1.
5. Under Daboll, Pruitt becomes fist $3M Coordinator in College football

I'm a big fan of the idea that Daboll ends up replacing Saban. It's way too early to know how good of an OC he is but it does make some sense that, if successful, he would get an interview.

Obviously, one more ties him with Coach Bryant. Particularly if he does it in 2-3 years, he might stay beyond 5 years to try for another. If he can win one more, I do think he`ll want to try to surpass Coach Bryant. Nothing wrong with that either, IMO.

I wish we had more insight into how he feels about his legacy and such. We probably won't know much until he retires but it would be nice to have a better idea about how he thinks about his place in CFB and Bama history.

I think it might be easier to win 2 NCs during that time than to go 15-0 against LSU, UT and Auburn for 5 straight years...but I hope you're right on both accounts!
