Errant pick-off move (ruled and error), followed by a WP, lets UF score the winning run, in the 9th. Their other run came on a solo.

Good pitching effort, but it is all for nowt.

(Yes, we scored the 1st run, and led, most of the game.)

Until tomorrow..............

Yet again a catcher not blocking a pitch costs us a run and the game. :(

Absolutely correct. The wild throw on the pick off throw to first that moved the runner to second base and the inability to get a 2 out hit with runners in scoring position in 4 innings had nothing to do with it.
Agree a timely hit here or there would have been huge. Just pointing out if Webb controls that ball, the game is still tied, even with the pick off throw that moved the runner to 2nd. Just horrible fundamentals / mental lapses that continue to kill us.

Good news is UGA AND UT both lost so still only 2 games out of 12th and the SEC tourney. I expect UT and UGA to get swept so, get lucky, win 1 vs UF and go to Nashville 1 game out. (Steal tomorrow and Sunday we are tied.)

Not that it matters, cause we still lost, but that was definitely a wild pitch - he threw it about 58' - and the catcher blocked it but it took a bad carom off of him and was just far enough away to allow the runner to reach third. No way that was on the catcher... according to Eli, that was our 76th wild pitch of the season.

It was scored correctly. But, our catcher has got to keep the ball in front of him. It isn't easy but, I'd bet most MLB catchers keep that ball close enough to keep the runner at 2nd. Also, had Webb tried to throw to 3B I wonder if he might have gotten the interference call as it looked like the batter kinda moved in front of him.
