By the time the season ends the Rangers will be in first in the west by 5+ games. They'll fix the pen and win 95 games.
I say they finish with a losing record. Houston, as much as I can't stand that place, is the only one with a chance to win 90. The rest of the West losers will be .500, or lower.
OK, the stRangers won today. In order to win 95 games, they have to win 62% of the rest of their games.
'Splain to us how that is going to happen.
OK, with 2 games left in the season, the stRangers just ended a season-long 7 game losing streak. Their record is now 77-83, and are 3 games ahead of Oakland, the last place team. So, they can not finish in last place, as they play Oakland the last 2 games. The worst they can do is finish out of last place by only 1 game. I believe I predicted they would be in a battle, for last place, with Oakland. (Maybe it was Seattle, but I think it was Oakland. They give away all their talent, to save money.)
Houston has 100 wins, with 2 more games to play in Boston.
LAA has 81 loses, and Seattle has 82. They play each other, the last 3 games. So, if LAA loses one of those games, all the rest of the AL West teams will having losing records. Neither team can finish above .500. (The games are in Anaheim.)
So..................who called it, eh? :biggrin2:
