We got through the top of the 1st, without giving up any runs.

"How could we give up runs in the top of the 1st, if we are the visiting team?"

After last night................you really need to ask? </sarcasm>

So far, there is only 1 out, in Vandy's 1st, and they have 5 runs. Aided by 2 errors (both by Avant) and a WP.

What a first. We gave up 8 hits, had 2 wild pitches, committed 2 errors, for 8 runs - only 2 of which were earned. Good grief...

Up to 9-1 now. Run managed to score before runner being tagged out, to end inning.

IOW, we just managed to give up a run, between innings! Thanks to replay.

OK, the last out should have been 2 runs, but a fluke reaction "look what I found" liner to the pitcher ends inning.

Really got to wonder if another 13-1 type loss will give Byrne any second thoughts? As if the coaches/kids have quit.

I read the article. What in the world does Byrne see that we are building in this program? Seriously what positive influence has Goff had on the program?

He better have 25 new guys coming in next seasons because I just don't see why or how any of the remaining roster wants to play for him. He probably has sold Byrne on that he has new and better players waiting to come in. Get real after a 5-25 season into a state that offers no lottery support and a university that won't discount out of state tuition.
