Okay, saying something nice about AG Sessions. Session has ordered the end of this practice.
DOJ investigates a corporation. Finds something fishy. Offers to call off the investigation if the corporation will "donate" to a DOJ-approved list of "community organizations."
This list included:
- National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (okay, don't know much about them, but they sound innocuous enough)
- Habitat for Humanity (seems innocuous)
- The National Urban League (heard of them, but if they are politically active, I can guess which party they support)
- Neighborworks (never heard of them)
- National Council of La Raza (huh??)

Now, if the list included giving money to the community outreach department of the National Rifle Association or voter education department of the Heritage Foundation, think this would have attracted substantial media attention?

The Federal government is like in a seedy hotel: cockroaches are everywhere and flipping on the light sends them scurrying for cover. But you know that in the dark rooms, the cockroaches are there. In every room.

This looks like the DOJ had federalized the Rainbow-PUSH practice of shaking down corporations for "donations." ("I charge you with racism. If you don't make a big donation to Rainbow-PUSH, we'll have protesters in front of your corporate headquarters with TV cameras until you beg us for another opportunity give.") Only difference is that DOJ has guys with guns and can put you in jail.

Good onya, Mr. AG.
