For the last week or so I have been going thru the individual factors in my experience chart from the 2017 magazine.

For a complete breakdown of each of the factors involved you can read those individual blogs.

2017 Career Starts Offensive Line - June 13th

2017 % of Yards returning - June 16th

2017 % of Tackles returning - June 19th

2017 Two Deep Class breakdown - June 21st

I conclude the series by combining the five factors into my final ranking. I then devised a formula that factors all 5 into the total points equation and then turned the point total into a number from 100 to 0. A (100) would be a team with 25 seniors (NCAA scholarship limit) in the two deep and every yard and tackle returning and 120+ career starts on the offensive line. A (0) would be a team with no experience and 0 seniors in the two deep. Just as in years past the first number is where each team ranks in the NCAA.

At the top of the chart this year is Florida Atlantic as they have 17 returning starters and just 8 lettermen lost from last year and ranked high in every category. Miami, Oh #2 with 17 returning starters this year and just 11 lettermen lost. The most experience Power 5 Conference teams are Auburn which checks in at #6 overall and NC State at #7 overall.
At the bottom of the list is UAB as they are back from having no football program the last 2 years. The Blazers only return 4 starters from the ’14 season all on defense. The rest of the of the bottom 10 are Michigan St (#117 LY), Georgia Southern (#63 LY), Michigan (#61 LY), Nebraska (#64 LY), West Virginia #54 LY), Illinois (#85 LY), Pittsburgh (#7 LY), Utah (#91 LY), and Texas A&M (#114 LY).

I particularly noted that au is third in the nation with 106 career offensive line starts, and ut leads the nation at 122

I went back and looked up last years list and YOU'RE RIGHT! We were 116th on that list and almost won the NC. We should be stronger than we were last year if we base anything on this. :)

I have never heard of an NCAA on seniors. Or am I misunderstanding that?

it's not a limit on seniors, but he's making an assumption that you sign the limit of 25 in a class and they all stay for the duration and either none redshift or they all do. net, it's nonsense... if that happened for a couple of classes in a row a program would have to stop recruiting be cause there would be no room.

Thanks. I figured I was misreading it since I had never heard of it.
