He's a human wrecking ball!Saban was just asked about Mack Wilson. Said ILB is one of our deepest position and that Mack is so dynamic they could possibly develop him as a rusher.
Lord have mercy.

So he's one of our top ILBs, the fullback, the backup punter, backup snapper and now he'll be rushing the passer. The kid has some serious skills!Saban was just asked about Mack Wilson. Said ILB is one of our deepest position and that Mack is so dynamic they could possibly develop him as a rusher.)

He and Ben Davis and kinda due now. Mack though seems to be the more unique out of the two right now. He seems super special.I knew we were going to see great things from MW when I saw this:
Considering our now abundant depth at TE that will be a good move on his part. Some talk that freshman tight end Kendrick James may switch to the DL. Would be a nice addition to a group that could add some depth.

6`5', around 270 or so, probably pretty good athlete ( feet ) as a TE? If he`s got the right mentality (aggressive ), could be a real good move for him and the team. Hopefully some depth at least for this year (?). Here`s hoping! Definitely a need there and possibly a shorter route to some snaps.Considering our now abundant depth at TE that will be a good move on his part.
I am so glad for this news as we have a strong need for additional depth on the DL. I had hoped that we would possibly give J. Wills a look at DL. I know that he is suppose to be a very very good OL, but his high school coach stated that he was also an absolute beast on the DL and we have a lot of depth on the OL.Some talk that freshman tight end Kendrick James may switch to the DL. It could mean we might see Payne at different spots on the line just for mismatch purposes or could just be for speed.Few things I noticed:
Shyheim Carter went from 190 to 195.
Bo Scarbrough went from 228 to 235 total of 7 pounds. ( I thought that was interesting)
Cam Sims from 203 to 214 in total of 11 pounds ( That's real interesting to me.)
Looking at the DB group:
Keaton Anderson dropped 14 pounds... I wonder if they moved him to DB?
Levi Wallace gained 13 pounds. Other than that, most of the DB gained between 2 and 8 pounds.
DL group:
I noticed Payne dropped 11 pounds, Wight dropped 5 pounds, Davis 9 poundswhile Williams gained 1 pounds, Keith Jr 27 pounds and hand 8 pounds. Something tells me that this DL will be lot faster than last year.
RB groups
All gained weight. Makes me wonder if we're going to be more physical?
TE groups:
This is more interesting to me. All but 2 gained over 9 pounds. I suepect this is for blocking purpose?
WR Group
Cam Sims gained 11 pounds putting him at 214. That's little heavier than I would like for him to be at. I’m thinking he'll play slot.
This make sense. I like Cam Sim's weight. This tells me he might play inside and outside. I don't think his speed will be any issue. The fact we have Receivers that can play anywhere on the line and that's very good because we will see lot of mismatches especially with our TEs. I really think this will be very physical team who will punish in many ways.It could mean we might see Payne at different spots on the line just for mismatch purposes or could just be for speed.
Cam is probably beefing up hoping it helps him from injury. Keaton sounds like he's probably in the Sunseri role soon too. TE's I'm betting for blocking because if we go more towards a NE style offense my bet is we still try to run and pound out of it.
Who knows
He was pretty fast as a TE in HS at 250, but I didn't see any snaps in his highlights as a DL. He could have lost some of that with the extra 20 pounds which is causing the coaches to look at other options for him. Kinda like Ronnie Clark - coaches said under 220 and you're a S. Over 220 and you're a RB. At 270 though, he'd be a very small DL for us. The only guys close to that weight who played significant time was Pettway and he was a rush package specialist.6`5', around 270 or so, probably pretty good athlete ( feet ) as a TE? True that, but if he`s strong and can move, he may be able to help in certain sets and situations. I nominate you to ask at the presser. But where's the depth chart?
