what I read was it was going to be an OL. obviously the weekend pass and no verbal from this potential prospect.
with that said, the Cookout was a success by all means. just because Bama didn't received more verbal doesn't indicate it was a failure. recruiting is very, very fluid. the staff may have accepted silent verbal or perhaps re evaluated prospects and more shuffling once again. we don't know at this point. with a limited scholarships this cycle 21-22, the staff is certainly taking their time. from all indications, Saban and staff have turned away more commits than expected. IF and I mean IF they wanted to accept these " verbals" Bama would shoot up the rankings and be high as # 10 . yes, you read it correctly.
expect more commits coming down the pipe sooner rather than later.
Auburn got 2 commits over the weekend. a 3* and a 4*. nothing earth shattering about those 2 commits. good for them.

FSU got 4 commits over the weekend. 1 4*, 3 3*. they are 8 away or less from filling up their class.
they will most likely finish anywhere in the Top 10 when its over.

FYI, all 7 Bama commits are playing either in the Under Armour or Army All American . how's that for quality??
We`ll "suffer" from a comparatively smaller class, but I`ll wager when it comes to quality and needs met, we`ll take a back seat to no one.
