First, turning Joey Freshwater loose in Oxford would be like a fat kid in a candy store. Plus brother Chris named in the NCAA NOI doesn't bode well for his prospects.
Secondly, Kiffin left to Tennessee to go to a USCw program that was going on probation. If you're Kiffin, why would you want to jump into an almost identical situation in Oxford?

Oh wait....we are talking about Lane Kiffin.

I'm of the opinion that if this interim coach keeps the program from completely imploding, they will probably give him the reigns at least for a couple of years to get past the sanctions.

Yah, I'm going to guess that:
1- nobody will tough this job with a 10' pole for some time, and
2- the PTB at OM are going to play it safe with this next hire - someone beyond reproach, even if it means a 'lesser' product.
Yeah....someone like Charlie Strong....

I think Charlie should stay at USF for a few seasons. I really think the only coach with some considerable achievement that would take the job is Les Miles. Other than that they are looking at the Shulas and Chiziks of the world.

Is there a former Ole Miss player that is a coach right now that would be willing to be the coach during sanctions?

Wait. Someone is actually suggesting they replace a guy who hired escorts with a guy who came and was really active on Tinder? Replace one skirt chaser with another one?

Really?

LOL, seriously? Hire a dude with zero coaching experience to lead your team through what will certainly be crippling sanctions?

I'd be 100% behind that decision.
I'm hoping he holds out for Botch's job.

Would really be interested to see Archie Manning's reaction to all of this. I was under the impression that he bought in big time on Freeze.

With the way he helped cover up Peyton's locker room antics?... I'm sure he has no moral issues or image problems with Freeze's activities. He's probably upset they didn't give him a broom to do some more sweeping....
