It's all well and good until the layoff notices go out. Are the chips property of the company to be returned? Can they continue to track your whereabouts when you no longer work there?
I figure biometrics are the future, not implants. I'm less concerned about the "mark of the beast" aspect than the fact that I don't like getting stuck.
At my workplace, I have to use multiple badges to access different areas. Given the choice between that and a surgical implant, I'll stick with the badges!

Growing up a charismatic Christian I can't tell you how many times we had speakers in talking about the government or private entities implanting chips or barcodes or whatever the hell. It always got an unsettling murmur from the audience. These sort of "end times" "Mark of the Beast" doings have been keeping Christians cowed since the late 80's.

Still though, don't put anything under my skin.

Then again, I don't even want an Amazon Echo in my house.

I remember listening to many a sermon proclaiming the mark of the beast will be a microchip in the body. I remember to most it sounded so foreign and unfathomable during that time. I even remember hearing some detractors (Church members who didn't agree with the pastor's opinion) saying "There's no way they will force people to do that." One pastor in particular used to say (in response to that). "They won't have to force them. They will do it voluntarily."

Truth. The government has hacked both. Maybe you can do them a favor though and let them record in stereo
I just watch porn, listen to devil worshipping heavy metal music and drink heavily while I'm having sex with midget, tranny, one legged, blind mesicun prostitutes. That will teach them for ease dropping.

It will start out with people volunteering and then become mandatory "for the good of everyone".

Much like direct deposit started off. I remember direct deposit being an "option". Now, there are a lot of corporations who will not employ you if you do not have direct deposit capabilities. Seems nuts to most, but there are still people who do not have checking accounts.

We won't. I don't even have payroll checks to cut.

It will be here sooner than you think because of its convenience. Who would have ever thought nearly everyone would be gladly walking around with tracking devices in our pockets today?

My company just issued mandatory credit cards for expenses. Before we had to use our personal card (or pay cash) and file an expense report to get reimbursed.

We still have to pay for the card ourselves and then file a report, this just has us all use a card from one place. But my employer co-signed for every card, so I imagine they get a copy of the monthly statement.

Typically P-cards (procurement cards) as we used to call them are tied to various rebates to the company based on the monthly & annual spend. Shell did that back in the early 2000s as well. The management of the system was a nightmare, but the rebates were solid.

I'm sure my company is getting a kickback from the credit card people.
