Love Cecil, but I'm really missing his point in the article. Not his norm, IMO.Cecil gives his take.

He was dead on...Love Cecil, but I'm really missing his point in the article. Not his norm, IMO.
To me, his point was that someone at ESPN felt the need to stir this up and that it was nonsense for them to do so.Love Cecil, but I'm really missing his point in the article. Not his norm, IMO.
That, and they were simply beaten out by a better player, proven by Jalen being SEC Offensive POTY.To me, his point was that someone at ESPN felt the need to stir this up and that it was nonsense for them to do so.
Or...that Bateman was both a good soldier and a good holder - not-so-good-rather-awful-in-fact as a quarterback...To me, his point was that someone at ESPN felt the need to stir this up and that it was nonsense for them to do so.
Interesting that Cornwell is the only one who is the starter at his new school. Bateman and Barnett are just bitter...Did ESPN not interview Cornwell? Did Cornwell turn them down? Or did he just not give them the answers they wanted?
Probably didn't bother with him because he was clearly never in the QB competition last fall.Did ESPN not interview Cornwell? Did Cornwell turn them down? Or did he just not give them the answers they wanted?
And he's also starting this year so probably doesn't have anything bad to say about Saban...Probably didn't bother with him because he was clearly never in the QB competition last fall.

I'm still waiting to see the preseason depth chart for 2007.What are the odds that the guy who has long railed about how he doesn't have a depth chart would tell any player that he is the uncontested starter?
Does our former OC have any previous history that might suggest that the clarity of his interpersonal communications sometimes leaves something to be desired?
Someone give these guys a business card that they can pull out and read from when interviewed: "I appreciate my time at Alabama. Had everything worked out the way I had hoped, I would still be there. Obviously, I'm not, and there are valuable lessons that I gained from that. When one dream doesn't pan out, sometimes you need leave it behind and refocus on another. I look forward to applying what I learned from my experience there to my current opportunity, and to the opportunities and dreams that I encounter throughout my life."
Well, he didn't deny or refute any of the statements made by the players.
